Santa Claus is coming to town

Ireland’s reputable paper (!) The Sunday World reported the following, according to U2star:

U2’s Secret is out – they’re to bring the capital to a standstill tomorrow.

The biggest band in the world are filming in Dublin tomorrow morning (13 december 2004), but despite campaigning to stop third-world debt and poverty, all that can be guaranteed is that they’ll be stopping traffic.

More than 50,000 fans lined up in New York recently to catch a glimpse of the rock gods as they travelled across Brooklyn Bridge on a flat-bed truck.

Gardai have been put on high alert for safety in their home town, despite the fact the boys were keeping their arrival a secret.

Santa Claus is coming to townHoping to sneak into Dublin’s legendary Gaiety theatre unnoticed, the U2 boys are filming for a yet unknown reason, using the old Dunphy show set.

Obviously big fans of the show and the presenter, the band have organised to move the famous TV set to Dublin’s Gaiety theatre.

We wonder if the craggy-face of sport and Newstalk 106 will be joining them for the show?

Rumour has it the shoot is for a Christmas special and that a gospel choir will be joining the band. We can only hope the Vertigo-lads have time to say “Hello, Hello” to their legions of Irish fans.

Except, Sunday World being Sunday World, nobody took it too seriously, including us. However, U2star as well as people on the U2 Zootopia forums now report that the band are indeed in the Gaiety Theatre today.

As for us? Well, we’re in Christmas spirits already. And may I just mention that those are some seriously sexy legs, Mr. B?
