Ticket update – codes reset

Numerous sources are reporting that the codes that came up as being used before yesterday are now January 26, 10 am GMT working and being accepted. If you didn’t manage to get through yesterday, it may be worth trying again now. We’re hearing reports from people managing GA ticket for Manchester, Twickenham and Cardiff.

Also, codes that were successfully used yesterday have now been reactivated. Please don’t be selfish folks!

UPDATE: It seems people are running into the same problems again, receiving an error after putting in their codes, and having their codes marked “used” yet again.

UPDATE #2: Despite what it says on the entry page, GA tickets for London can (apparently) still be bought by following this link. At your own risk! (People who have booked through this link are receiving confirmation emails as normal)

UPDATE #3: If you’re getting the error saying you must come from http://onsale.ticketmastereurope.com/U2/ you may have more luck after turning off any firewall software you may have. Also, some browsers don’t pass on their referral page, so you’re probably best off using bog standard Internet Explorer.

  1. Well, my code was reset, and I tried to get two GA tickets to Chicago. Everything worked, but the GA were gone. The only thing available was really bad seats for $95! Yeah right! I didn’t pay money to U2.com to pay out the nose for crappy seats! I’ll just put that $220 that I would have spent on those bad seats towards a scalper’s price for GA (if I don’t get any during the regular sale on Saturday).

At least the codes were reset….U2.com still needs to apologize.

  3. Im a bit indifferent about my seats, can someone looks at the twickenham concert plan and tell me what they think of block 23?

directly facing stage at far end of field

  5. I fully agree about the apology. The Ticketmaster Europe apology was nice, but there hasn’t been any such things from Ticketmaster US and the mess has been equally big for the presales there.

I personally also think U2.com is trying to get away very lightly by only offering Ticketmaster’s apology and not their own, or offer any real solutions (the reset is a start, I guess, but also brings on some other problems. Some people have now ordered twice, where others STILL can’t order).

Ticketmaster acknowledging the problems is new though… I don’t think I’ve ever seen them do anything like that before. They usually just shrug their shoulders and decide it’s not their problem.

I don’t think I’d like to be on the managing team of either U2.com or Ticketmaster right now. Would sound like a good day to call in sick 😉

  9. I put a friends address in the UK as the delivery address – but its not the billing address on my card – will they honour my purchase?
