Swiss fans, set your alarms. According to U2.com, the postponed Zurich presale is now happening this Friday, February 11 at 10 AM. The actual concert will now take place on July 18th.
Fans in Italy should take note that the Milan date has been moved back by one day to July 20th.
These changes to the schedule make room for the strongly rumoured second date in Paris on July 10th.
Would even make room for a third Paris date 😛
And a second Zurich date…

I think I may just about have had it.
Ticketmaster e-mailed.
They have cancelled my allocation of tickets ‘because my code was used twice’.
It is difficult to resist the urge to use explitives instead of punctuation here.

Spike, I read a post elsewhere by someone who had the same problem. They raised a stink with Ticketmaster and got ‘some’ of their tickets back (?), so don’t give up.

The situation was that a friend of mine with no internet access wanted to go, so he registered his credit card details etc on my computer as well as my account with MY credit card. Then when the time came I simply booked 4 tickets with mine and his 1 on his account (using 2 different U2.com accounts).
Unfortunately they seem to base their claim on the fact that the IP address was the same – God knows what is happening for those who booked on a public terminal that someone else booked on – and they phoned and told me they are willing to give me ONE allocation back. I’ve emailed and kicked up a stink as you suggested, but right now I’m just going to let my friends go and take one for the team. I’m so beyond angry I don’t even care.
No word yet on whether the second account number I used will be eligible for a refund from U2.com. I’d imagine the answer to be two letters, begining with ‘N’…

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of that going around right now. I’m not entirely sure what can be done… since Ticketmaster doesn’t really seem receptive to any sort of discussion on the matter or anything.
Frankly, I think most of us have kind of had it with the whole ticket thing. It’s too awfully draining and personally I’m fed up with it. I’ve kind of resorted to just avoiding the UK altogether for this tour.
Unclarity with Ticketmaster also means I mail out all ticket agents in all countries Im going to every day to see if my tickets are still secure. They must be well fed up with it by now.

I’ve telephoned the Watchdog TV show here in britain and they are interested in having a piece done. Would anyone here be up for submitting a horror story to run alongside mine?

Also mentions a complaint, and TM being rubbish about it.

O boy! I pray that my Brussels-tickets are still safe and that they will send them to me…… The waiting is sheer agony! give me reassurance please!
But, staying on topic: how about a forth Amsterdam date on sunday july 17th? Or would that be asking to much…?

No, no, that really ís asking too much u2joost! That would mean increasing my already heavy trainingschedule for standing around for hours at a time, sprinting across the field to the stage and not using the loo as long as possible.

LOL. Yes flygirl, indeed. I can picture such a trainingschedule very vividly. where can I join the training? It would be worth it!

Flygirl & U2joost be prepared…
I’ve created a model of the Amsterdam Arena-entrance at home, where I spend hour after hour facing a fence…waiting on the signal go…
And joost, I’m glad to hear more people out there haven’t heard from Brussels, I wasn’t trained properly for that kind of waiting..

Maybe we can work together on creating ‘The U2-tour-exercise video: we guarantee improved bladdercontrol, better sprinting results and various exercisemethods to control urges to hit fellow U2-fans (or U2 themselves) over the head with anything suitable. Now at Telsell!Arena-entrancemodel and U2 actionfigures sold separately!’

So, just out of curiosity, have any of you been to the ArenA before? Should I mention the approx 50 yard steps going straight up, the bend around, the even more steps onto the field, and then the running like f*** along the pitch to the stage?
It’s one of the worst I’ve been too, along with Sportpaleis Antwerpen, where you have to run down some steps, and then right at the bottom, take two steps forward and then go straight up again along even more steps.
But yes, Amsterdam 4 please. I would just love spending all night outside Fame music again, with EUR700 in my pocket, just because Ticketmaster’s stupid rules has me paranoid about paying with creditcard.
But Paris 2 and 3 would be good too… I’ll take anything, really, I’m not picky :-]

I do not like the Arena. Give me the Kuip (the Feijenoord stadium in Rotterdam) anytime. But I suppose its to much work to get the stage from Amsterdam to Rotterdam in the night between saturday and sunday… Maybe if we all lend a hand together? Would be great! But more exercise and training will be needed also…

Wouldn’t be surprised if they announced a surprise gig in say Paradiso, Paard or something like that. But I must admit: it’s what I hope for…

I don’t think any sane artist would subject themselves to giving their voice a belting 4 nights in a row…

This must be the Dutch-est thread we’ve ever had here.

U2joost, I’d give my left arm, but only after the show…two arms come handy pushing and shoving my fellow U2-fans around 😉
@E, I suddenly remember the Antwerp Sportpaleis basement, which at the time we all agreed upon was designed to make Dutch U2 maniacs lose their way before they could get to the front of the stage. (Spinal Tap moment down there…)

And to make it complete, it’s official: the Dutch get The Killers! (july 13th, but the other dates?)

And to make this thread even more Dutch (and completely off topic) it seems that at Holkema, Moelkema, Mielkema, Malkema (a.k.a. bookstore Scheltema) at the Koningsplein in Amsterdam there was a queue up till the 4th floor because Anton Corbijn was signing his book ‘U2 & I’…

Doh! I didn’t know that, and I practically live next door.
