‘Boy’s boy’ blubs over Bono speech

The children are definitely crying: Sacramento Bee reader Gail Bailey writes in to the lifestyle section (reg.req) to say her 9-year-old, who won tickets to see the show with his father, is ‘a tough boy’s boy’ but he told her “he started to cry from the emotion he felt when Bono talked about how all the people of the world were equals in God’s eyes.”

Elsewhere in the column, 70-year-old Jerry L’Estrange says his daughters dragged him to a show in Hartford many years ago and that they have remained fans ever since.

It’s a family show.
