Pixies and Dead Can Dance release 2005 tours on CD

Coudal Partners, a (web) design company who found a niche market for custom packaged jewelboxes, have now created The Show | Own The Night, “Limited-edition, professionally mixed and mastered, custom-designed live performances on CD.”

Partners The Pixies and Dead Can Dance are the first bands to release their 2005 tours on ‘The Show’ and do we ever wish U2 would follow suit. Though perhaps not as ‘limited edition’ as these two bands. Discuss…

  1. The Pixies cost $25. I would pay that for U2 shows I have seen(especially 05/12/05). At least the crowd noise would be mixed out. A little over a $1 a song. Not bad.

  3. u2 are not able to do this because there is to many people squabbling over who gets paid what. With big bands and big record companies this is a lawyer fiesta figuring out who gets what..This has to be the only explanation because no matter what they say, the technology is there and well in place.

That and they are perfectionists which leads them to not wanting to make every show available because edge hit a wrong note here or there

  5. They should do it. I would pay the money instead of hunting for poor quality bootlegs. It’s a great souvenir of concerts attended. If they make individual songs from shows available on iTunes that would be even better.
