U2 stage being built in Brussels

Reader Bart was kind enough to share with us his pictures of the stage being set up in Brussels Baudouin stadium for U2’s opening concert of their European tour. Are we psyched yet?

  1. Do you think it will be necessary to queue very early in Brussels? The blue zone has its own entrance and it seems to me that with that ticket you’re close to the stage anyway…

    any thoughts?

  3. But ehm, if you have a ticket for the blue zone, that sort assures you of a spot close to the stage right? It seems to me that it’s not really necessary to queue very early for this particular gig…

  5. I’ve got the blue tickets as well, but I’m not shure what to do yet….reports indicate the blue zone will be somewhat like 4000 people within two corridors, so…and as it’s the first European show we don’t know if there will be any random-select mechanisms in place like the one in the states.

  7. Just looking at those pics makes me very much NOT look forward to having to sprint across the field… 😉

  9. This is absolutely the LAST time I’m going to do this multiple-shows-have-to-be-in-front-thing! I’m 35, enough already! Ofcourse, that’s what I said the last 2 tours. But now I mean it! I think.

  11. I’m secretly hoping that because of my ‘blue zone’ ticket, I won’t have to sprint across the field. My nerves (and legs) couldn’t take it… 😉

  13. Only one more week to go, to see the world premiere of Crumbs from your table!
    My nerves are killing me!

  15. I just love how no matter how long ago you bought tickets, travel arrangements are still a last minute deal. 😛

    Anyone have a suggestion for a cheap-and-cheerful hotel in Brussel/Gelsenkirchen? 🙂

I’ve been too busy doing other things to really take much notice of the tour so far, but now it’s actually starting to happen it’s getting to be a bit surreal.

If all else fails, I’ll sleep outside the stadium 😛

  17. Blue zone ticketholders will have a seperate entrance. That entrance is right behind the stage.
