The Bravery record U2 song

Cocky bastards The Bravery have recorded a lively, up tempo version of U2’s An Cat Dubh for their new U.K. single, Fearless. U.K. residents can purchase the track online from the iTunes music store — where they can also get U2’s new single City of Blinding Lights.

Rumour has it BRMC have been asked to join U2 and Interpol on the bill in Glasgow — ironically home to The Bravery’s spiritual forefathers in noise, The Jesus and Mary Chain.

  1. I’m pretty sure The Bravery are opening for U2 at one of the Manchester gigs, forget which night now though.

  3. Apparently The Bravery are now an additional support act for Manchester #1…wonder if they will play this during their set – would be an interesting comparison if this is An Cat Dubh night for U2 as well. (g) Also, I heard that they also covered The Electric Co. at Coachella this year.

  5. The UK store has the 2-track single up, but they don ‘t have the 3 track one with b-sides. Interestingly enough they pulled the audio off the live COBL from the DVD single and put it up as an exclusive.

Of course these offerings, along with The Bravery track, are not available in the US store. Blah.

  7. The iTunes store is completely frustrating like that – what’s the point of being able to see the various countries’ stores, but not buy from them?
