We got a TV eye on U2

Plenty of TV coverage for U2 this part of the tour. On ITV (UK), lucky girl Cat Deeley joined U2 back stage in Manchester this week. Her impressions are shown on June 28th at 11:30pm, ITV1. The show, entitled ‘U2 Uncovered’, will feature interviews with the band, reflecting on their lives from their early days in Dublin, to their ‘metamorphosis from pop band into a phenomenon that has touched much of the western world, both musically and politically’.

Across the channel, in the Netherlands, lifelong U2 fan and actor Chris Zegers travelled to Chicago to meet U2 (Dutch article). His one-hour special, ‘Chris Zegers goes U2’ will be shown on Yorin TV this Sunday, June 19, with a repeat on July 12. You’ll find some photos of Chris and the band on the Yorin website. After the show, bits that didn’t make it into the show will be available on demand from the same page.

On July 13, Yorin will broadcast straight from the control tower at Schiphol airport where U2 will be landing in the Netherlands. Yorin will contact them through their on board computer and one lucky Yorin meet-and-greet winner will be welcoming the band in person.
