U2 mix it up for London day two

U2 start their second London, Twickenham concert at 8.25pm local time with ‘Vertigo’ followed by ‘All Because of You’. Fans on the Zootopia forum report roadies have taped the lyrics to ‘Who’s gonna ride your wild horses’ to the stage. And we may have a riot on our hands: Bono’s just pulled a Nelly and told the crowd ‘it’s getting hot in herre, so take off all your clothes…

8.53pm: the band play Wild Horses. Followed by City of Blinding Lights and Miracle Drug, which is dedicated ‘to the front row, for letting this Irishman sweat all over you.’ All together now: Eeew.

And on Aung San Suu Kyi‘s 60th birthday, the band play Running to Standstill for her with snippets of Happy Birthday and Walk On, then go into Pride.

Bono pulls a girl on stage during With or without you and adlibs some LMC Vs U2: Take Me To The Clouds Above. Now will they pull out another surprise? No. Vertigo mark II ends the show.

  1. Sure would like to go along on that ride. Would I love to hear Discotheque, Miami and (only recently finally appreciated by yours truly) Wake up dead man. And throw in HMTMKMKM too…
