{Dutch fans dress down for the occasion}
U2 fans seem determined to leave their own mark on the Vertigo tour.
In Brussels, Flemish fans gave the band ‘a warm welcome‘ wearing white wristbands, the Polish crowd in Katowice turned their stadium into a heaving national flag. And Parisians joined the fray with their sea of white balloons.
Are Dutch U2 fans plotting to put on, or rather ‘take off’, their own very special surprise?
Our spies in ‘sin city’ provided us with this picture of what appears to be Dutch fans standing to attention in the GA queue at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Picture actually taken at Spencer Tunick shoot in Cleveland. Uploaded to Flickr by James W. Polaczynski.
Here’s a real picture of the fans sleeping outside the stadium in Amsterdam.
I hope the crowd will just burst out into some big out-of-tune-out-of-synch-singalong we’re so used to in Holland, and leave the other stuff at home….and please….for once….no olé-olé-olé…..

Well it is gonna be pretty hot tomorrow, so who knows what might happen…
BTW, are they shooting a DVD in Amsterdam? The whole area behind the stage is black, see: http://www.rtl.nl/experience/yorin_fm/acties/home/u2_concerten_fotos_arena_opbouw.xml

According to Willie Williams’ diary on U2.com there will be some kind of video shoot in the near future… Three nights in one city gives them some space and time…I’ll try not to sing loud and false 😉
