According to his official site, Anton Corbijn will be New York-swinging this coming week. The Dutch photographer and director will be exhibiting a collection of his photographs of U2 at the Stellan Holm Gallery on West 24th Street from October 8-15, while U2 and their fans are in the city for the band’s five scheduled shows. An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Sunday, October 9, from 5-8 pm.
Corbijn also will be doing a book signing for U2 & I and his new director’s series dvd at the Virgin Megastore at Times Square on Saturday, October 8, at noon.

I am sooo going to this… if I can figure out whether we need to book a ticket or a spot in advance! No info… looks like you just show up. Can anyone confirm? If so, hope they order enough hors d’oeuvres for all the U2 fans that will show 🙂

Too bad, ’cause I’ll be in NY sunday with nothing much better to do…Then again, last time I saw Anton Corbijn I asked him to sign what I thought was one of his pictures, turned out it was taken by a completely different photographer. Anton: ‘That’s not mine! At all.’ Whoopsy-Daisies!
