Say bye bye to your iPod? U2’s music will be available on iRadio, a commercial-free music and talk mobile phone service owned by Motorola expected to launch in January. Universal Music Group is makings its catalog, including U2, Kanye West, Bon Jovi and Eminem available on the service.
Motorola iRadio uses broadband Internet and Bluetooth technologies to turn mobile phone handsets into music players. Subscribers can choose from preprogrammed channels, or create channels of their own at a cost expected to be about $7 a month.
