The Edge dances to the New Birth Brass Band at the New Orleans Jazz Fest.
it’s good too see him dancing after the delicate illness of a u2’s family member, that we all know who but we can’t told…nice really nice :)…I hope everything is going well for that member and his family
is that really him? it sure looks like him, but not 100% he is the edge.
They know that they can’t dance, at least they know …
Yeah, I’ve got to say I’m 99.9% sure that is him. Bono does mention previously that he’s the “Irish Funky Chicken”… and he’s flappin’ those arms! Beyond that, the profile (chin, elbows, beanie)… yeah. And it is really good to see him dancing and having a good time.
our very own funky chicken mr. the edge..
it’s one of three edge’s, if you look close enough, you’ll see a little number on his back (it’s the #2 model). the man has mastered to create two clones of himself over the last decade, hair loss, funky attitude and the right sense for the right shirt included! all controlled through edge’s immense mind power, while the actual edge his sitting in the south of france sipping on a capirinha taking a break. (#1 by the way is locked to a little studio space somehwre in dublin, creating new riffs for the next record).
Yet another way the members of U2 can find a medium to relate to me…I suddenly feel much more comfortable in my whiteness.
Haha, wow…I think Bono said something about the funky chicken and The Edge once
“I’m not sure if Irish people can dance…. except for The Edge, that is, who is our own funky chicken.” -Bono
That is pure gold!!!
this clip brings me joy when i watch it. i can imagine him releasing “things” …nice to see such a stern serious character ( from what we as the public see) be loose
Does anyone know the song that the band is playing? It’s pretty funky and I’d like to buy a copy of it.
I believe the funky chicken quote is from bp fallon’s faraway so close book… loooong time a go ;)…
