Fan made “Streets” video compilation

In anticipation of their upcoming world tour, here’s a fan made video compilation of Where the Streets Have No Name, using pro-shot footage from seven concerts including Rattle & Hum, ZooTV, PopMart, Elevation, Slane Castle, Vertigo tour, SuperBowl halftime show and U218. Eat that, Hamish.

  1. If ever I need a reminder of why I’m a U2 fan, all I need to do is cue-up a live version of “Streets” from one of the many bootlegs I’ve now transferred to my iPod.

The fan who created that video did a great job with the editing … very cool to here one consistent version of the song intermixed with various timelines of the band.

  3. Very well put together – congratulations! For me ‘Streets’ can never be overplayed; you get your money’s worth live for that track alone, and the rest is free. I reckon -so here’s a true/false quiz question- they’ve never done a full gig since ‘The Joshua Tree’ without it.

  5. nope, they did not play it on several shows on the Joshua Tree Tour, nor did they play it in Sydney on November 18th, 1989…since then, I think they played it at every show. And rightly so!

This fan-made video is great! Better edited than a lot of the released stuff. Congrats to whomever! Great work. If I were U2 I’d offer you a job.
