  1. Is the current new mix a farse or did Bono and the boys allow this, let alone request it ? I would like to hope not.Perhaps they will clear this rubbish up. Yes , to me the so called new mix is just that. I love the super speed original.I even like the video. One must keep in mind Bono`s maxim :”Vision Over Visability” .It often takes a bit for some to catch ,percieve or digest genius.

  3. I think the new mix is kinda neat. I hardly consider it a proper U2 song, which is fine. I don’t know how many of you were buying U2 singles twelve years ago, but Discothèque had about four or five mixes (all of them equally pointless). They have a long history of letting others remix their songs, with mixed results. There was a neat version of Even Better Than The Real Thing that came out in 92 that had a real common dance beat for the day… I consider it one of the better U2 mixes. This is just more of the same… another take on a U2 song.

  5. An online writer is making claims that u2 requested the sappy crappy mix of get on your boots . The funny thing is it seems these online writers often print alot of made up conjecture or pure gossip bs and people believe it simply since it`s in print. The only way we will ever know for sure if U2 requested the crappy sappy new mix is if they say so on there site or better yet we hear it from there mouths and they post the video stateing so.

  7. Is U2tour.de an offical U2 site ? Or one that just looks like it ? It was said from the begining that one of the reasons they put -Boots- on NLOTH was for balance.

  9. Remixes — for rock bands — are throw-aways.

Of all the (dare I say “hundreds”) of remixes that U2 has included as B-sides, the only one I think that added anything to the original was “Lady with the Spinning Head”.
    > submitted for evidence A: Anybody see the value behind “And shot him with it in the shoulder” from the “Desire” remix?
    > all other remixes have simply been dull variations on the beat of “bum-tiss-bum-tiss-bum-tiss” bass and high-hat.
