U2 ‘Best of 1990-2000’ DVD

Lots of commentaries by videomakers such as Corbijn, Godley, Ackerlund and Joanou and a couple of ‘making of’ features as well as a documentary about Popmart Sarajevo make this an interesting addition to your collection. Eastlink goodies

Spanish U2 site “East Link” has two interesting items on their news page: The pink sleeve of the Electrical Storm DVD single, and a 12 mb mp3 of Bono performing “It’s only rock and roll” with the Rolling Stones earlier this year. Scroll down the page to “1 de Octubre 2002”

Anton’s Blue Movie

Ridiculous press quote of the week. The Mirror says U2’s beautiful Anton Corbijn directed promo video for Electrical Storm is a porn flick, “their raciest video ever” which “stars drummer LARRY MULLAN (sic) as a womanising sex maniac”.

We’ll leave some space here to allow for your roar of laughter.

Bono’s itsy bitsy mickey

You think you’ve seen it all, but you haven’t. One of uur readers, “popartist”, pointed us towards Uri Geller’s website where Geller talks about being subjected to Dave Stewart’s latest digital film at the National Film Theatre in London. The stars of this movie are none other than Bono’s wedding tackle and a spider. ( Cue sounds of crickets chirping.)
